This Chaplin Estates home was made truly gracious with the addition of this two-storey shingle-style extension to the rear of the home. The clients needed a larger and more modern kitchen with eating area, a larger master bedroom with an ensuite and improved storage.

The resulting project provides a generous open floor space which enjoys views to the garden from three pairs of Prairie-style terrace doors designed in a bowed shape to bring the outdoors inside.

The master bedroom enjoys a dramatic barrel-vaulted ceiling open to both a luxurious roman ensuite and the reading area. The storage needs were met by providing one complete wall of customized cabinetry. A long deck, with access off both the ensuite and reading area, stretches across the full width of the house adding a richness to the exterior facade.
