This family with two teenage boys and a dog needed
more casual main floor living space and a secondary
entrance to their home.
To fulfill their needs, the designer came up with
a layout that involved gutting the existing kitchen
and constructing a new addition to accommodate
a spacious eating area, powder room, sun-drenched
side entrance and large cedar deck in the rear
of the house.
Featured, is a large built-in desk constructed
around an existing rear window of the house, thereby
still allowing natural light into the existing
study. The new limestone flooring is heated with
hot water radiant tubes installed below the floor
tiles, a comfort the homeowners just love.
